Pre-School Programs

One of the needs of many communities in Ethiopia is for pre-school or KG programs because the children do not know either the national language (Amharic) or English, the language of the national exam that will determine if they can go to 11-12th grade and then another that will determine if they can go to college. Thus language training that can begin at an early age is critical to their success. These and other similar pre-school and KG programs are very helpful in making the students more successful in their education. Even Muslim villages and towns will accept such programs run by Christians because it is so important to the success of their children. Thus a relationship can be established between Muslim communities and Christians that otherwise may be very difficult to create. Such programs are operated through our partner, Rift Valley Vision, and Fire Over Africa supports such work as funding is available.
